AIPM STUDENT SUPPORT NETWORK
ABOUT THE SSN - AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The Student Support Network is a concept the AIPM will be trialling over the next two years, with the help of selected AIPM Graduates and Visiting Fellows who have volunteered to be Student Supporters. The SSN has been developed in response to student feedback and direction from the AIPM’s Board of Control and Board of Studies in order to provide an additional level of support and service to currently enrolled students.
What you aim to achieve from the Network is to be determined by you, the student. As you progress through the course you may use the Network in various ways that best suit your learning style. Additionally, the AIPM has developed four key outcomes which we hope to achieve for all students using the Network:
- Provide support and assistance (in a non-academic sense) to current students of the AIPM, during their distance education subjects and in the lead up to the residential.
- Improve AIPM Course completion rates and maintain morale of students throughout the duration of their course.
- Expand networking opportunities amongst course participants rather than just between a particular cohort. This will result in students creating links to other Graduates in the following capacities:
- Past and present students
- Between organisations
- Internationally
- For female students.
- Increase awareness of the course requirements; in particular, to better prepare students for the residential component of the course.
